Birkdale Village's holiday kickoff on Sat Nov 21, 2-7pm: kids' activities, a 4:30pm Santa parade, the 6pm tree lighting, and the opening of Birkdale on Ice.
Huntersville's Birkdale Village starts the season with an afternoon of face painting, elves and magicians along the Parkway, letters to Santa, local dance performances and a pop-up biergarten. At 4:30pm a parade with Santa, first responders and the Hopewell High marching band loops Birkdale Commons Parkway. The tree lighting in The Plaza starts promptly at 6pm, followed by a dance party with The Hit Men.
The Birkdale on Ice rink opens the same day with a 2pm skating performance. Parking in the decks and lots is free, and valet is $8.
